Short bio for jonathan eppstein, founder and ceo of RedBird LED, Inc.

       Mr. Eppstein holds degrees in electrical engineering, electro-optics and mathematics. As a serial entrepreneur, he has invented new technologies in medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical drug development, lidar, and LED lighting. More than 40 US and 200 international patents have been issued for these inventions. He was awarded an Emmy for his Lidar work with ESPN. On a personal note, he loves their four dogs, pickle-ball, windsurfing, woodworking, metalworking and restoring his 1964 Thunderbird convertible.

      While earning his college degrees, he also worked as head of restoration for the Gilmore Car Museum, executing a concours winning restorations on a 1929 Duesenberg, a 1948 Tucker Torpedo and several other classics in the collection. He also produced an award-winning documentary film of the Duesenberg restoration process.  The common thread linking this eclectic background is that all of these experiences have sharpened his appreciation for attention to detail, the value of not cutting corners and providing the highest level of customer support.
